Neil Brown became a School Improvement Advisor for North Tyneside in 2010.

Prior to his work with Education North Tyneside, he spent two years working across two City Learning Centres, delivering creative technology events for all school phases, and six years as a primary school teacher and  ICT subject leader.

Neil now supports schools with computing and all aspects of technology, providing high quality training, subject leadership, curriculum planning and demonstration lessons for staff and students from all key stages.

Neil has led major initiatives on digital inclusion, online safety and has forged strong relationships with local and national organisations to develop STEM teaching and learning in the North East; through the IET’s FIRST LEGO League programmes and partnerships with local technology companies.

Neil’s educational passion is creative uses of technology and developing resources to support outstanding teaching and learning of computing in schools.
