The course will walk participants through the basics of growing their own fruit and veg. We will cover a variety of topics from preparing the soil, sowing, and raising plants, to composting and pruning. Participants will get to taste the food we grow with outdoor cooking sessions at our firepit and BBQ.
The course will cover:
- Sowing and raising seedlings
- Preparing the soil and planting
- Caring for your plants and harvesting
- Tasting and cooking organic fruit and veg
We can tailor the course to the interests of the participants. For example: If you don’t have your own garden, we can focus more on growing in pots and containers.
Course details
The course runs for six sessions, on a Tuesday afternoon from 1-3pm (There may be some flexibility to extend this if required). To fit with our growing season, the courses run from Feb-to-Oct.
Minimum 4 pupils - Maximum 8 pupils (can combine with other schools)
