An Introduction to the Early Help Assessment

  • Staff working directly with children with language and communication difficulties

The EHA is an initial assessment and planning tool that facilitates and coordinates multi-agency support, helping to identify the needs of both children and the adults in the family.

Improving involvement between agencies, the EHA is a shared tool that multi agencies can use to develop a coordinated response.  ensuring that the child and their family are getting all the support they need from wherever they need it, the assessment aims to resolve any issues in their early states to avoid the need for the intervention of social care.
