Artificial Intelligence for the Whole School: Practical CPD for Every Role

Artificial intelligence

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is no longer a distant concept—it’s here, and it’s already reshaping how we teach, lead, and safeguard. But for many educators, the question isn’twhether to engage with AI, it’show. That’s exactly what our new training series is designed to answer.

Whole School AI CPD

Artificial Intelligence for the Whole School is a six-part CPD programme tailored to meet the needs of every role in school—from the curious classroom teacher to the cautious DSL, from the strategic SLT member to the EY practitioner wondering how AI fits into early years. Whether you’re tech-savvy or technically terrified, this series offers a safe, supportive space to explore, experiment, and embed AI into your practice.

6 detailed sessions

Each session is practical, jargon-free, and rooted in the real-world challenges and opportunities schools face. You can book the full series or select the sessions most relevant to your role. Topics include:

  • AI for SLT– strategic planning, policy development, and ethical leadership.

Linked to the latest guidance for schools

This builds on the DfE materials - Using AI in education settings: support materials - GOV.UK, which discusses the use AI to reduce workload, improve feedback, and enhance learning—while emphasising the need for safety, accuracy, and data protection. The guidance also highlights the importance of strategic planning when embedding AI into your wider digital strategy.

All sessions will promote safeguarding, although there is one session that will solely focus on this aspect.  Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSiE) 2025, now includes explicit references to AI under online safety, as schools are expected to consider AI-generated content, deepfakes, and misinformation as part of their safeguarding responsibilities

This isn’t just about technology—it’s about pedagogy, policy, and practice. It’s about giving staff the confidence to ask questions, test ideas, and make informed decisions. It’s about ensuring that every child benefits from the opportunities AI offers, while staying safe and supported.
