Developing Exploratory Talk
This course helps pupils become confident speakers who can handle complex ideas clearly.
Pupils learn to think deeper than quick answers and see topics from many different angles. Pupils will work together to create "talk rules" - guidelines they build and improve as they learn. This teamwork makes sure everyone's voice matters and creates safe spaces to take thinking risks and ask real questions.
Pupils will develop key skills for today's world. They learn to explain their thoughts clearly, build on others' ideas, and question assumptions respectfully. This course will strengthen reasoning skills, helping pupils move from simple opinions to strong arguments backed by solid evidence.
The course focuses on exploration and discovery. Pupils see discussions not as contests to win, but as team investigations. Ideas get tested, improved, and changed. They will practice holding back judgment, asking deep questions, and combining different viewpoints to understand better.
