Eve is a qualified teacher and holds a BA (Hons) in Primary Education with QTS.

She has more than 20 years of teaching experience across key stages 1, 2 and 3, with 8 of those years as part of a senior leadership team.

As well as being the school improvement advisor for English, she is an experienced lecturer and mentor on the North Tyneside SCITT programme, and also provides support for MFL leads. Eve has been a facilitator on the NPQLL programme on behalf of Ambition Institute for the last 2 years.

Eve holds a national accreditation for ‘Teaching Reading Comprehension and Enjoyment’ CPD; is an experienced key stage 2 external moderator and has also been a ‘Deputy Standardisation Team Leader’ for STA.

In recent years, she has worked closely with colleagues from the Open University Reading for Pleasure team and provided a local teacher reading group to promote reading for pleasure across all age phases. Eve is currently working towards her NPQLTD qualification.

Whilst supporting and challenging schools with all aspects of literacy, including effective teaching of phonics, Eve is also very passionate about the teaching of reading using high quality texts and understanding how children learn to read.
