Shallu is a qualified primary school teacher with extensive experience of working with children in a variety of schools and settings.

She gained extensive experience of teaching children with English as an Additional Language (EAL) in this role and a similar one in another local authority. She is passionate about teaching EAL children and making a positive impact on their learning, increasing their desire to learn and enabling them to become independent lifelong learners.

Her special areas include speaking three languages (Hindi, Punjabi, English) and effectively supporting pupils, families and class 14

teachers to ensure that pupils receive high quality teaching to become functionally self-sufficient in reading, writing and speaking.
