Leading Forward: Sustaining Impact Beyond Linking Leaders

Four People Using Laptop Computers and Smartphone

This course offers support for leaders at all levels to continue to drive the agendas identified in the peer review process.

Over the last few years more than half our schools have taken part in the NECA-funded Linking Leaders programme, seizing the opportunity to reflect on their teaching and learning alongside regional colleagues. School leaders can use Education North Tyneside Leadership SLA hours to build on this experience and secure improvements in teaching, learning and pupil outcomes.

For some teams a tailored package might focus on curriculum design, examining ways to align current plans with the 2025 OFSTED expectations. For other teams a package might support consistent curriculum enactment, building strategies to better engage vulnerable groups.

Senior leaders may also wish to procure professional development for recently appointed phase or subject leaders in order to strengthen leadership overall. This group could explore effective action planning and meaningful classroom visits. They could consider how to deliver feedback in ways that support whole school agendas such as the progress of disadvantaged pupils.

Time - 3 hours initially and additional support as necessary
