WALLSEND FESTIVAL: A Day of Local Talent and Big Sounds!

Join North Tyneside Music at North Tyneside Council’s Wallsend Festival on Saturday 5th July for performances throughout the day from some of North Tyneside’s best emerging musicians.

In the Wallsend High Street stage, duo Wrong Boy will be joined by soloists Sam Idurobu, Billie Wharton and Helena Cameron, and others from North Tyneside Music’s Emerging Artists and Sounding Out! Programme.

Young performers will also be joined by community groups Kanvas Academy, Sing it Louder Choir and Move it Studios:

At Segedunum, young musicians from 12 of the best of North Tyneside’s emerging bands will take to the stage to compete for a spot to perform at Mouth of Tyne festival the following weekend.

Bands include North Tyneside Music and Traxx Rock School’s Lowlights, Into the Aether, Helldawg, Belladonna and Feminist Propaganda. Come down and cheer on our rock stars of the future!

Entry to the festival is free of charge and families can also enjoy fairground rides, children’s character walkabouts, street food and demonstrations. We look forward to seeing you there on Saturday 5th July!

Also, anyone who buys tickets for the Mouth of Tyne family day on Sunday 13th will be able to catch the winning band from the Wallsend Festival.
